چکیده

A review of available results on non-destructive testing physical systems, using the concept topological sensitivity, is presented. This mathematical tool estimates sensitivity a set measurements in some given sensors, distributed along system, to defects/flaws that produce degradation system. Such manifests itself properties The good performance this general purpose post-processing method reviewed and illustrated applications involving testing. These include structural health monitoring, considering both elastodynamic ultrasonic guided Lamb waves active infrared thermography. Related methods can also be used other fields, such as diagnosis/prognosis engineering devices, which considered.

Non-invasive prenatal testing.

BACKGROUND Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), also known as cell-free DNA testing and non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS), is an important addition to the range of screening tests for fetal chromosomal abnormalities. For trisomy 21 in particular, NIPT is superior to other screening modalities. However, NIPT has limitations and complexities that requesting clinicians and their patients sho...

Testing Physical Systems

We present a formal theory of model-based testing, an algorithm for test generation based on it, and outline how testing is implemented by a diagnostic engine. The key to making the complex task of test generation feasible for systems with continuous domains is the use of model abstraction. Tests can be generated using manageable finite models and then mapped back to a detailed level. We state ...

Topological Sensitivity Analysis in the Context of Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing

Abstract. The aim of the topological sensitivity analysis is to determine an asymptotic expansion of a shape functional with respect to the variation of the topology of the domain. In this paper, we consider a state equation of the form div (A∇u) + ku = 0 in dimensions 2 and 3. For that problem, the topological asymptotic expansion is obtained for a large class of cost functions and two kinds o...

Evaluation Metrics of Physical Non-invasive Security

Physical non-invasive security has become crucial for cryptographic modules, which are widely used in pervasive computing. International security evaluation standards, such as U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-3 and Common Criteria (CC) part 3 have added special requirements addressing physical non-invasive security. However, these evaluation standards lack of quantitative...

Topological sensitivity analysis for systems biology.

Mathematical models of natural systems are abstractions of much more complicated processes. Developing informative and realistic models of such systems typically involves suitable statistical inference methods, domain expertise, and a modicum of luck. Except for cases where physical principles provide sufficient guidance, it will also be generally possible to come up with a large number of pote...
